Composer B. Andrew Mills has given us a simple and elegant Mass setting in chant-style. While the non-metered format and flowing melodies are reminiscent of chant, the Mass is not modal at all - definitely F major. In Greek (Kyrie) and English [2010 translation], the Mass is set in unison throughout, accompanied by unobtrusive organ chords. It can be sung by choir or congregation, although the Kyrie is set in the standard form with each of the three invocations repeated (so a cantor could be used here). This concise, yet complete Mass setting includes a Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Mystery of Faith (A,B,C), Amen and Agnus Dei.
