March of the Marmots describes the comical creatures that emerge from their winter slumber, at first soft and hesitant, then stridently march from their burrows into the sunlight. This piece is a nice challenge for any ensemble, as every partis equally fun and educational. Enjoy!
Deze marmottendans beschrijft hoe marmotten uit hun winterslaap ontwaken. Eerst twijfelend en voorzichtig uit hun holletje kruipend, maar al snel vrolijk en opgewerkt genietend van de eerste zonnestralen. Dit leuke, kleurrijke werk is een jneuitdaging voor elk (jeugd)orkest en is tevens geschikt om te spelen met een minder complete bezetting.
March of the Marmots (Marsch der Murmeltiere) beschreibt die possierlichen Tierchen, die nach dem Winterschlaf zunächst zögerlich, dann aber doch flott aus ihren Höhlen krabbeln und der Sonne entgegen marschieren. Das Stück ist einehübsche Herausforderung für jede Besetzung, da jede Stimme lustig und lehrreich zugleich ist. Viel Vergnügen!

Debout, paresseuses marmottes, quittez votre terrier, La Marche des Marmottes commence - le printemps est arrivé ! LaMarche des Marmottes constitue un agréable challenge pour n'importe quelle instrumentation. Toutes les parties sont la fois engageantes et instructives. Bonne musique !
