MARCH OF THE COMBATANTS is written on the beginning Intermediate level but would also be an appropriate piece for an elementary festival of sorts. The E minor ninth chords give it a dissonance reflecting combat and the constant down beats in the cellos and basses emulate marching. It is written in three part harmony but still powerful and effective. If this composition appeals to you please consider the many others in this string series.
