This is an intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement of a classic John Philip Sousa march, "Manhattan Beach." This early 20th-century traditional American march, a tribute to the popular West Coast summer vacation destination, is perfect for recitals, pops concerts, Americana events, or patriotic concerts. It is a short, engaging piece that can break up a long program and give the ears a brief hiatus from some of the heavier pieces on the program. This arrangement was written for upper-level high school groups, as well as college and professional ensembles. I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Originally scored for a concert band, I hope you enjoy this setting for woodwind quintet.
