Simple introduction to Walton's choral music
This is a wonderful carol, and fairly simple once the choir's got used to the fact that the harmonies are not simple triads throughout (plus there's only 16 bars of music to learn!). The verses need familiarity with the notes, as the text is some way from the music for some verses and is in a mixture of English and Latin. However, it's an easy way for a choir to get to start to sing some of Walton's fabulous choral music.
