Make Me Smile Review for Big Band
The Chicago tune Make Me Smile from their second album is one of their earliest hits and the arrangement is SPOT ON! Unlike many arrangements, this one does the original tune justice with very little changes and the ending is just like the original with its changes back and forth from 5/4 to 4/4. The arrangement works well for any big band that has a competent rhythm section and good Brass & Woodwind players. it is very accessible for High School and College Big band ensembles. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get a Fusion sound out of their groups!
