Magic Carpet Violin/Viola an excellent resource
The use of attractive groovy jazzy backing tracks appealed very much to my 9 -10 year olds and facilitated the teaching of familiar Suzuki rhythms . I used this in conjunction with the viola edition backing track to facilitate work on D and A string . A variety of rhythms , string crossing and a basic scale are covered in easily accomplished steps. Piano accompaniments are of moderate difficulty . The incorporation of duet parts allows for differentiation with established players. Useful notes accompany the collection . An extremely useful resource for mixed ability groups !
