Although, these sonatinas follow the Classical traditions, they are distinguished by being written during the height of the Romantic period by American composer Frank Lynes, 1858-1913. A refreshing alternative to the Clementi and Kuhlau sonatinas and an excellent introduction to sonatina playing for early intermediate and intermediate levels.

Lynes: Four Sonatines, Opus 39 CD ....
5 STARS!!! 2 THUMBS UP!!!I BRAVO!!! Now, I got this CD along with the Opus 39 Sonatina Book, CD sounds FANTASIC, and it's just perfect in the notes played by a pro pianist so you can learn the notes you can listen to the pro pianist perform all of the sonatinas and you'll 100% really much easier learn all of these -- this is the VERY BEST Sonatina book to start out with, it's really the easiest to learn, BUT IT SOUNDS HARD & FANCY - know what I mean:) So, you should get the book & CD together, and all of Keith Snell's books are GREAT!!!
