As is the case in much of Tin’s work, the song cycle features several singers and vocal ensembles, including a divisi choir, Peking opera soloists, and Irish keening. Each movement is sung in a different language, ranging from Swahili to Latin to Portuguese.
This arrangement of the sixth movement, ‘Lux Aeterna’, has been arranged here for a small orchestra, replacing the opening soprano solo with a clarinet.
