Luminescence shimmers with joyful enthusiasm from the energetic opening ensemble figures. The introduction features repeated sixteenth notes on open strings with an option for violin 2 and viola to play double stops. A flowing violin 1 melody dances on top of the pulsing accompaniment in the ‘A’ section at m. 9. The pieces surges forward and transitions to a majestic, lyrical B section at m. 17 where the full group plays lush harmony andlegato melodies.
