"Love Me Like You Do" was recorded by Ellie Goulding in 2015 specifically for the soundtrack of the film "Fifty Shades of Grey." It has been described as an electropop power ballad and became Goulding's most successful single. This String Trio arrangement is obviously minus the "massive synthesizers and crashing drums" of the original soundtrack, but the song does translate well to the small ensemble. It gives the melody an innocent, intimate and vulnerable feel - quite like the mood of the original story line - and unpeels some of those shades of grey.
