Notes from the composer: "Recently, I started teaching teen students again. I love their energy. I find it tiring just thinking about the emotional extremes of adolescence. One day you're feeling like the whole world will end, and the next day you get up an hear a Chopin prelude on breakfast radio and it's the absolute best thing you've ever heard in your entire life and you want to shout it from the rooftops. 'Loopy Lady' (thus titled because it's largely made up of musical loops) was inspired bu the various emotional situations of adolescence. This one, 'Reels' is about the unbridled joy of teen friendships.
