Lockdown? God help me! Opus 70a was composed in 2020 during the tragic pandemic that shook the world. The melody is tense and distressing, there are also abrupt changes in the time signature, thus portraying the difficult period of uncertainty that we all go through during this period. Finally, in the last two bars, hope is born that all this will pass and we will return to our normal lives, with the highest note taking a leap towards freedom.
