This is a fresh and unusual arrangement of the traditional Christmas hymn "Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming" for SATB and organ. It features a significant amount of newly composed material alongside an imaginative reharmonization of the well-known hymn tune. It also features the original text from Isaiah 11:1 as well as a less-frequently heard verse of the hymn (in English). The organ part is not very demanding and serves a primarily antiphonal function.
