2018 Chamber Music Contest Entry

This little suite was originally part of a series of string studies aimed at expanding the pupils musical and harmonic experience along side their developing technique, a sort of strings 'Microcosmos' (Bartok). Whilst it can be played by a very good and well trained junior orchestra, the complexities of rhythms, time changes and 'clashing' harmonies will probably be better tackled by intermediates.
