After a long hiatus following 1960's Camelot, the team of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe reunited to produce their final score, The Little Prince in 1974, the title song of which is presented here, arranged for voice and piano by Casey Jones Costello. Two of the most notable recordings were by the great baritones Richard Kiley, as well as Robert Goulet, who originated the role of Lancelot on Broadway in Camelot and who recorded many works by Lerner and Loewe. The score begins in G and modulates to Ab, with a vocal range of D3-F4.
