Highly Recommended
When it comes to contemporary music, Universal Edition is one of the best options. This piece in particular has an excellent layout which has two scores with no cello part. Anybody who has played Webern knows that this is the best solution.

short and to the point
The short piece requires extreme coordination between the cellist and pianist with notes and chords popping out of nowhere. That is where the real difficulty of the piece arises. The cello part is simply another copy of the piano accompaniment. This is needed so the cellist can see what is happening and when as there is not a strong indication of beat or time. Consider the piece to be a bit of musical sorbet to cleanse a jaded musical palate. Give it a go and enjoy the ride...
