Meredith Willson's one-man masterpiece, "The Music Man," features a couple of counterpoint combinations, where one song shares the chord structure with another and can be played/sung together. This is one of them. The Buffalo Bills barbershop quartet (the school board) sings "Lida Rose," while Shirley Jones (in the movie) as Marian the Librarian sings "Will I Ever Tell You" elsewhere in River City. This arrangement is built from a barbershop arrangement found floating on the 'net from a gay men's chorus, with the four higher horns -- two trumpets, horn, trombone -- providing the quartet. The trombone peels off for the Marian ballad.
