Li'l Darlin' by Count Basie Big Band - Sheet Music

By Neal Hefti

Li'l Darlin' is one of the great tracks from the Basie band of the 1950s, and one of a series written and arranged for the band by Neal Hefti to be found on The Atomic Mr. Basie album. This is the original arrangement and not a transcription , and includes the fully written out muted 4th Trumpet solo. There is not a full score with this arrangement, though a Conductor lead sheet is included. A great tune, and classic Basie! The mp3 is courtesy of The Strayhorns.Ranges:Trumpets 1-4 F5, D5, Bb4, G5 Trombones 1-4 Eb4, Db4, Bb3, Eb3

Great chart

This is a fantastic chart! True to the Original Count Basie version. Has become a favorite of the teens and early twenty somethings in our music school jazz band. The piece is not difficult but played correctly sounds GREAT.
