Long a favorite with church and school groups across this country, Let There Be Peace On Earth is an inspirational pop hit from the 1950's. Composer/Arranger Mark Hayes created these soulful versions especially for Carl Fischer. They feature his trademark lush harmonies and creative piano accompaniment style and the result will be ideal for church, school and community concert situations. From the first measures of the piano introduction, a tone of great dignity and warmth is established and the music builds in strength and intensity, while sensitively supporting the familiar text. This is truly a song for our time. Mr. Hayes' arrangements gives new life to a beloved pop classic.

Beautiful
Absolutely stunning solo piece. Some of the chords in D flat take somestudying---so many flats, naturals and I puzzled over them. Have played piano for 79 years and this took some practice on my part, but all worth it-played it for Mem Day, soon Flag Day, then July 4---very moving--but, be warned, the Dflat area takes practice!!!

Let There Be Peace On Earth
This is a beautiful arrangement of this song. As usual, Mark Hayes writes an interesting accompaniment which needs an accomplished pianist. The church choir is singing it at our service to honor veterans. The choral parts are well-written, with a few different harmonies than usual, making it interesting for a choir with some experience.
