'Let all mortal flesh keep silence' is one of the oldest hymns in the world. This new arrangement is very accessible to most choirs and can be suitable in a worship context or as a standalone performance piece.
The music starts with a soloist and then moves into 2 part with Sopranos and Altos in verse 3. There is a beautiful middle section that showcases the piano and builds to a climatic 4th verse as the Tenors and Basses enter. The piece fades away mysteriously at the end with the return of the soloist and a distant flurry of piano notes.
