For those who have seen the film, you'd certainly remember the Tom Cruise character, Lestat, playing the piano with such ferocity while he casually chats. Then in a later part plays the Haydn melody again in a more somber mood as the scene calls for it. No one can deny that this choice of music for a vampire movie captures the horror aspect and is appropriately named after a frightful and powerful character. It's taken from Haydn's Sonata no. 59 and some how it has found renewed "immortality" in the 1994 movie. Strong opening bass notes, wonderful major keys bridge , and this version returns to the main melody with even more dramatic flair!
