The work "Les Jardins de Thémis" is both a tribute to my dear friends and outstanding duet partners, Florence Creugny and Alexandre Bernoud, to their most captivating, expressive, profound, and passionate musical playing, as well as a nod to the Jardins de Métis in Gaspésie, where blue poppies and azaleas are among the flowers that adorn these gardens. The first movement, "Blue Poppies, the Inner Garden," creates a floating and deeply emotional atmosphere, illustrating the intimate and emotional inner garden of the human being. The vibrant second movement, "The Dance of the Azaleas, the Garden of Encounters," describes the outward expression and excitement of the human being setting out to discover the other.

L’œuvre «Les Jardins de Thémis» est à la fois, un hommage à mes très chers amis et éminents duettistes Florence Creugny et Alexandre Bernoud, à leur jeu musical des plus séduisant, expressif, profond et fougueux, ainsi qu’un clin d’œil au Jardins de Métis situés en Gaspésie où les pavots bleus et les azalées font parties des fleurs qui ornent ces lieux. Le premier mouvement «Pavots Bleus, le jardin intérieur» crée une atmosphère planante et profondément émotive illustrant le jardin intérieur intime et émotionnel de l’être humain. Le palpitant deuxième mouvement «La danse des azalées, le jardin des rencontres» décrit l’extériorisation et l’excitation de l’être humain allant à la découverte de l’autre!
