Solid Celtic Collection for Duo Gigs
Good practical set for flute/piano duos. The inclusion of chord symbols is a huge plus for quick interpretation on gigs. The 'intermediate' level ensures the arrangements are playable without excessive rehearsal time. With a separate pull-out flute part, it's easy to use. Great for requests for popular Celtic tunes like 'Danny Boy' or 'Riverdance'.

Excellent Repertoire for Intermediate Flute Students
This James Galway collection is superb for intermediate flute students. The 'intermediate to advanced' difficulty offers a good challenge for developing musicians. Hal Leonard's clear engraving and separate pull-out flute part are very practical. The Celtic melodies are engaging, making it great for teaching expressive playing and rhythmic precision. Highly recommend for school and community use.

Fun Collection for Celtic Music Lovers!
I absolutely love this James Galway collection! Playing these iconic Celtic melodies like 'Ashokan Farewell' and 'The Thorn Birds' is so enjoyable. The 'intermediate' difficulty is just right – challenging enough to feel rewarding but not overwhelming for a weekend player. It really makes you feel like you're playing along with the master. Whole Book
These were OK, but not arranged to highlight the flute's potential range. They were often low and middle range with more piano than flute. The River Dance was and one other Irish tune are very good. The others really don't showcase the flute.

Excellent arrangements. Flute and piano parts go together quite easily. Some of the pieces are more challenging technically while others are quite sight-readable, just need more control than technical wizardry.
