The 2nd part of the Sea Shanties show for marching band begins with a trumpet solo stating the melody of "Leave Her Johnny," and builds to an exciting full-band ending. The middle section gives you the opportunity to feature your woodwinds (with optional front ensemble backup). There is also a short "show-off" solo after the woodwind feature that is written out for multiple instruments--allowing you to choose who best to feature. NOTE: If you are using this as a stand-alone piece, you can end it at the fermata at measure 65. Measures 66-68 are transitional measures into the 3rd segment--"PIRATE ATTACK!" (A Baritone T.C. part is included.).
