Launchpad is a fantastic adventure inspired by the marvel of space flight. Just as we get a moment to hold our breath in anticipation, the power and awe of the launch take over as the craft soars toward the stars and enters orbit. Finally, we experience the triumphant return of the craft to Earth and celebrate a glorious mission accomplished.
Launchpad is composer Noel Freeman’s first original composition for trombone octet and was named the 3rd place winner of the 2024 International Trombone Association Composition Contest.
