Landslide is a song written by the American songwriter Stevie Nicks in 1973, three months before she was invited to join Fleetwood Mac as they moved from the UK to the US. The song was released in the band's self-titled album "Fleetwood Mac" in 1975 and has been performed in almost every Fleetwood Mac concert since, and in every one of Nicks' solo concerts since 2005.
The song was written at a difficult time in Nicks' life when the duo album created by herself and her partner the rock guitarist Lindsey Buckingham "Buckingham Nicks" had not been successful, the recording contract for more albums was dropped, her music career seemed to be going nowhere, and her relationship with Buckingham was crumbling. She was staying in Aspen at the time, and the references to snowy mountains and landslides were inspired by the landscape.
This version is fully edited with guitar tablature and fingering to make it as easy as possible to play. Lyrics are included.
