Published by Andrew Middleton (A0.1837019).This piece is inspired by the death of Enkidu in the epic tale of Gilgamesh. The opening four bar chord progression is repeated on throughout the piece with embellishments each time it is heard. The middle section of the piece becomes more heroic representing the character traits of Enkidu before returning to the simpler opening theme. The piece ends with simple two note chords ascending as Enkidu’s soul final departs for the heavens.
