Heartfelt & Achievable for Adult Choirs
What a gorgeous pairing of songs! Twila Paris's 'Lamb of God' flows so beautifully with 'Were You There?'. As an adult hobbyist singer, I found the intermediate SATB arrangement by Larry Mayfield to be perfectly achievable. The rich melodies and harmonies are so fulfilling to sing, truly capturing the emotional depth. It’s a wonderful piece for our church choir, especially around Easter.

Excellent Intermediate Choral Piece
This SATB arrangement of 'Lamb of God' blended with 'Were You There?' by Twila Paris is wonderful for intermediate choirs. Larry Mayfield's arrangement offers beautiful harmonies perfect for teaching voice-leading and expressive singing. The clear layout and intermediate difficulty make it accessible for student choristers, providing a rewarding challenge for developing their ensemble skills, especially for Easter programs.

Not a fan
I love both songs (Were You There and Lamb of God)...but this one is an awkward song to sing. The timing changes from 3/4 to 4/4 to 2/4 and back many times. My pianist also had to switch from accompaniment to playing parts several times to make this song flow well. I much prefer the original 'Lamb of God' by Paris/Mayfield - SATB (Which is no longer in print)

Lamb of God (Were You There)
This song is amazing. It's a little difficult for harmony at the end, but is beautiful, and just in time for Good Friday. Decidedly an inspirational seasonal song.

Lamb of God/Were You There
I like the first half of this arrangement. It works well with our small group; however I was not prepared for the key change to 5 flats at the bottom of page 4! We probably won't do the key change. Your preview does not allow for this information to be seen.

Fairly easy to learn
The old and the new together made this song a joy to sing and to listen to. It was pretty easy to learn even tho there are some meter changes. Don't let these stop you as they flow nicely together. I'd higly recommend this one. It's a keeper with our choir!
