Though written in the 1930s, "Lady of Spain" achieved its greatest popularity when performed by tenor Eddie Fisher in the 1950s, whose recording became one of his greatest hits. As an instrumental, the piece also became a showcase for accordionist Myron Floren on The Lawrence Welk Show, for whom it was one of his signature pieces. This vocal edition of the song, for high voice, song modulates from C to Eb in the last chorus, which captures the essence of Eddie Fisher's recording of the song.
