The Dutch pianist Laurens van Rooyen got famous in his country when this 'Great Parade' was featured for several weeks on the national hitparade. Marcel Peeters was the right man to make a wind band arrangement of this popular piece with East European sonorities. Many wind band fans will certainly appreciate this fine number.
Le pianiste Laurens van Rooyen a longtemps gardé une place au hitparade des Pays-Bas avec sa composition ' La Grande Parade'. Marcel Peeters était sans nul doute l'arrangeur indiqué pour faire une belle orchestration de cette oeuvre populaire qui nous fait penser à la musique de l'Europe orientale. Parmi les amateurs de musique pour orchestre à vent, il y en a aussi beaucoup qui aiment ce genre de musique douce.
