Tarantella Napoletana. Composed by Franz Liszt. Edited by Wilhelm Ohmen; Robert Schafer. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Score. 11 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53312. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53312).Franz Liszt’s first publications with Schott in 1838 were his piano transcriptions of the song cycle ‘Soirées musicales’ by Gioacchino Rossini. The ninth of these, ‘La Danza. Tarantella Napoletana’ (plate numbers 4967-9) is still very popular with virtuosos today. Later, in 1855, 1858 and 1883, amongst other works, Liszt’s three volumes ‘Années de pèlerinage’ (‘Years of Pilgrimage’), probably his most important collection of character pieces for piano, were also published by Schott.
