The Concertino, Op. 18 was originally written for Violin and Piano by music educator and composer, Leo Portnoff. Written to be a pedagogical concertino working on the first to third positions, the melodious passages and rewarding challenges motivates students to go beyond their level and continue perfecting their skills.
Arranged for Viola and Piano, it has been transcribed a 5th lower (from A minor to D Minor), allowing the student to play in the 1st - 3rd positions as Portnoff intended.
