"L’Ombre Passe" is a piece by Pit Heyart for two flutes and piano, written during the COVID-19 confinement. The title — “The Shadow Passes” — aptly reflects the character of the music: it carries a sense of suffering and introspection, yet ends with a glimmer of hope — a hope much needed during the difficult times of the pandemic.
The recording was performed by Pit Heyart on piano and Simon Knopp, who plays both flute parts. Since no one was allowed to meet during lockdown, the parts were recorded separately and later combined.
