This advanced intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement of the charming Italian symphonic march, "L'Inglesina (The Little English Girl)" by Davide delle Cese, is similar to Julius Fučík's "Florentiner March." Both pieces from the Romantic Era are established band classics, popular with high school and college ensembles. It is a short, engaging piece that can break up a long program and give the ears a brief hiatus from some of the heavier pieces on the program.
This setting is written for groups ranging from college ensembles to professional quintets and is perfect for recitals, contests, competitions, weddings, special events, background-dinner-music gigs, and educational outreach performances. As always, I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. This is a very Italian march; take your time and use the rubato where marked.
