I listened this amaizng baroque piece in a classical radio station two weeks ago and I have composed a viola part for playing it in string quartet formations. This piece was composed by Couperin as a tribute to Corelli and to reconcile the conflicting French and Italian musical styles of the Baroque. An example to follow in the reconciliation of cultures.
