Returning from Majorca one autumn evening, composer Harald Weiss met poet Maria Bögel at a defective ticket machine at the airport metro station in Hanover. The malfunctioning equipment brought them together, but since then their paths repeatedly crossed and a collaboration was planned combining words and sound. The result is this collection of four settings of Bögel’s poetry for mezzo soprano and small chamber ensemble composed by Weiss.
