The typical Ukrainian melody, called "Kolomyika," is very popular in Ukraine. This version for three guitars is a variation with elements of polyphony, because the different melodies are sometimes introduced, linked together in lively counterpoint. This arrangement uses the "Guttucle mode," a very typical musical folklore of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
