This is an arrangement for brass quintet of Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, originally for solo cello (or double bass) and orchestra. It is a very beautiful work based on romantic harmonies accompanying a lyrical solo line, here passed around equally between the members of the quintet. The level of difficulty is intermediate-advanced. There are a few tricky spots in each instrument, most of which can be worked around with stylistic rubato (if necessary). Given the scarcity of gorgeous slower works for brass quintet, this is a great addition to the repertoire.
