There is almost nothing known about the quick gallop Kleiner Anzeiger (Small Advertiser), exept that it is an early work of Josef Hellmesberger Jr. . The composer himself was quite famous during his lifetime, if as composer of numerous operettas, if as solo violin player of the Vienna Court Opera, or if as conductor of the Vienna Philharmonic in succession of Gustav Mahler. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "New Year's Concert" on 6 January 2011 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria.
