GmbH - Digital (S9.Q21351).Dieses Konzert für die linke Hand von Paul Hindemith wurde erst über achtzig Jahre nach seiner Entstehung uraufgeführt – so lange hatte die Musikwelt und die Forschung keinen Zugriff darauf. Hindemith komponierte die Klaviermusik schon 1923. Der Pianist Paul Wittgenstein, der im ersten Weltkrieg den rechten Arm verloren hatte, gab ihm (und Korngold, Strauss, Franz Schmidt, Britten, Prokofieff und Ravel) den gut dotierten Auftrag. Doch er mochte das Stück nicht besonders, vermutlich, weil er es zu modern fand. So verschwand es, tauchte erst im 21. Jahrhundert wieder auf und konnte 2004 endlich uraufgeführt werden.
