Creatively crafted by my younger sister at age 10 in 2018, Kittens on the Stairs allows children to playfully frolick with "kitten paws" (fists). Rolling fists, glissandos, and chromatic scales add to the comical effect. Its dynamics, articulation, and structure are well thought out with repeating motives. Emily won first place in a provincial composition contest with this piece!
Emily is excited to have her music for sale alongside mine! She says she'll put her commission toward getting a cat from the Humane Society.
