This blues rock chart is told from the perspective of a person on the naughty list, so they decide to "Take matters into my own hands / Gonna kidnap an elf!" It follows a typical blues progression, and the soprano gets to have a great time moaning and growling and generally showing pride in their great plan to get presents for themselves regardless of their status with Santa. The bass is the blues rhythm section and the alto and tenor keep the jazzy chords flowing with a few cascading interjections throughout. Great for caroling quartets looking for some sassy repertoire and school choirs looking for a little holiday grumble.
Also available in lead sheet, piano/vocal/guitar, and ATB with solo and piano accompaniment. The demo comes from the first verse.
