Finally Sound Like Kenny G!
I've always wanted to play Kenny G's 'The Moment' and other hits, and this book lets me 'sound like the record.' The 'exact transcriptions' capture his signature style beautifully. As an 'intermediate' player, it's challenging but totally achievable with a bit of practice. It's incredibly rewarding to play these smooth 'Adult Contemporary Pop' tunes on my tenor saxophone for relaxation.

Excellent Resource for Intermediate Saxophone Students

a great investment on music
I play a lot of wedding and church events. These Kenny G books are perfect. You must have a proficient piano player and/or band. Most of the basic melodies of the majority of songs are fairly accessible to even average players. However, the 'improv' sections and runs are also scripted note for note. Those are definitely for advanced players. If you can't play them, skip them and play the easy parts. But work on them to make you a better player. These books are also helpful in teaching how to 'beautify' a song by adding turnarounds and other little tricks to make melodies sound better. Highly recommend. NOTE: no accompaniment trax CD is included so you either have a keyboard player or play along with the original Kenny G cd.
