There are dynamic changes throughout to give color to this jazzy little swinging piece. It is easy to learn and has a good upbeat melody. Purpose: To give beginning students of all ages a rhythmic and melodic piece of music to encourage practicing. The hands fall into position nicely. Suggestions for Instruction: Teach hands together through measure eight. Then teach hands separately, with careful counting. Add dynamics and pay close attention to staccatos. Key: C minor.
