This is Tom McCaslin's challenging arrangement of the famous theme and variations, "Carnival of Venice", that has become a standard for wind soloists. It is the closing track on "One More Dance" (also sold by Potenza Music). The interpretation for this version comes from Tom's favorite tuba recordings by Roger Bobo, Pat Sheridan, Oystein Baadsvik, William Bell and Michael Lind. There is an added variation that uses a "rutter" tongue technique. Although this piece is timeless, Tom hopes the additions give it a little more life.
