Jubilations was composed during the spring of 2014 for the occasion of Dr. William Payn’s retirement from Bucknell University. At the time, composer Christian Humcke was a member of the Rooke Chapel Ringers, which Dr. Payn had founded and directed for thirty years. "Jubilations" reflects Dr. Payn’s ebullience and sensitivity as a consummate musician and personal friend. Suitable for larger intermediate/advanced ensembles, this lively piece will be both fun for the performers and enjoyable for the audience.
