This arrangement is meant to feature your up-and coming trumpet student who can really nail those lyrical and fast notes as well as their high notes above the staff. All around fun piece for the soloist as well as the band to play. Everyone gets something fun to do throughout the piece.
The trumpet solo range goes from first line E on the staff to High C6 with the option near the end to play the G above that if your student is up to the challenge (marked as optional 8va).
It has elements of march styles, of fanfares, and even of Mozart's endings to certain phrases. It encompasses all the joyful patterns I could think of to combine to celebrate Christmas.
