"The Cascades" is one of Scott Joplin's most descriptive works, depicting the Cascades Gardens at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. While setting this piece for Brass Quintet, I decided to use Euphonium instead of Trombone to allow for a more fluid sound. However, it works fine with Trombone as you can hear from the accompanying mp3 (the MIDI sound file for Euphonium is not really the best).
