The original band version of Johnson Lane March was commissioned by Mitch Sturman, director of the Wilson Jr. H.S. Warrior Band in El Centro, CA for performance at the 6th Annual "Concert of Premieres" in May 2013. The following fall, the Imperial Valley Symphony premiered the orchestral version. The march was named for the street upon which the composer lives.
